Breathe Deeply, Sip Mindfully.
At Bootea Flow, there are no altars rising, just the grounded earth beneath our feet. No sacred rituals, only the gentle glow of the tea. No picture-perfect poses; just being. With tea cupped in hand and a yoga mat beneath, every breath marks a new beginning, and every sip is a step deeper into your inward journey.
Hi, I’m Tyng.
I've practiced yoga for over a decade and taught at various studios before opening my own. Throughout my journey, I've often felt disconnected from the polished facade that usually surrounds yoga. To me, yoga is about embracing the raw, unfiltered self – the messy hair, the worn-out leggings, the imperfections that make us human.
With this experience, I saw an opportunity to do things differently by creating a space for like-minded souls to connect and find respite, and a community for kindred spirits to lift each other up. As a mother of two and a business owner, I understand the whirlwind of daily life. Bootea Flow was born from the belief that it’s not just a yoga studio; it’s a sanctuary where the burdens of the world are gently lifted, and authenticity takes precedence.
OUR TEAM
JESSICA
Jessica has been practicing yoga since she was a teenager and teaching since 2018. Her healing and teaching work is focused around cancer recovery and self acceptance. In 2016 Jessica was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer while pregnant with her second child. And it was at this time that her yoga practice truly began to impact the way she healed on a mental, emotional and physical level.
Jessica enjoys teaching Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Cancer Recovery, strength classes utilizing the hammocks and has zero shame in her prop game. She is an Oncology Reiki Practitioner, certified in Yoga for Cancer Recovery, and is the creator of the Soul Seeds Affirmation Decks. If she’s not at the studio, you can most likely find her in a hard core dance battle with one of her tiny humans.
“I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom”
ALEXIS
Alexis has been practicing Ashtanga yoga since 2013 and teaching since 2022. She began her yoga journey after the passing of her beloved mother from cancer, seeking to become a stronger mother for her daughter and son.
Alexis aims to guide students in immersing themselves in traditional yoga in an easy, sustainable, and comfortable manner, as she learned from Manju Jois and Greg Tebb.
Her yoga class begins with chanting Sanskrit mantras and concludes with breathing control exercises called Pranayama. The entire class focuses on guiding students through dynamic and therapeutic movements, integrating breath, body, and a clear mind. She uses hands-on guidance as an attentive tool to support these movements.
As the community grows, Alexis places greater importance on sincere teacher-student relationships, fostering honesty, harmony, and growth, which have positively impacted the lives of many. She welcomes everyone with her big smile to her Ashtanga yoga class at BooteaFlow Studio!
HYANG
Hyang has competed and won awards in the body competition bikini division and has seven years of experience in pole dancing. She loves helping people get fit. Her classes are challenging and intense, but you will become stronger every day. She looks forward to seeing you in class!
CHIARA
Chiara fell in love with being upside down some years back, but got “ serious” about aerial when she found Bootea Flow. Chiara received her Aerial teacher training certification in 2023 and has enjoyed teaching students of all levels since then! When not dangling from a hammock or a pole, Chiara likes to hang out with her cats (right side up in this case), try new food and binge read novels.
CHERYL
Cheryl started practicing yoga in 2018, initially looking for an “easy” form of exercise and activity after work — but she gained so much more than just the physical practice. Through yoga, she became more in tune with her body, found her communities, gained the confidence to challenge herself to new things on and off the mat, and most importantly, learned to trust herself. She started aerial yoga at Bootea Flow in August 2023 and has been hooked ever since! Cheryl fell in love with the studio because of how supportive and fun the community is, and she loves using the hammock as a tool to get deeper into stretches.
TINA
Tina's journey into holistic healing sprouted from a profound curiosity that led her to explore the realms of yoga, sound healing, meditation, Reiki, and herbal medicine. As a sound healer and yoga teacher, she continuously seeks ways to integrate diverse healing modalities into her practice to provide the best possible care for clients. For Tina, holistic healing extends beyond the boundaries of a profession; it's a way of life that brings not only joy and fulfillment but also a profound sense of purpose.
